Tell us a bit about your journey before joining Sogeti. I have been in sales all my life–selling Christmas greenery door to door as a Boy Scout, selling engineering services and foundation material right out of college, before ultimately getting into consulting. Before joining Sogeti, I helped start and grow an IT consulting firm, which focused on providing IT due diligence on private equity transactions. What attracted you to Sogeti? The people! When I initially met with Sogeti leadership during my interview nearly 10 years ago I was struck by the tenure of the individuals I met with. They were 10 years, 20 years, and even 30 years. Everyone in the office appeared to genuinely like each other and I wanted to be a part of that. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received? Always do what you say you are going to do and you will differentiate yourself from the competition. How do you recharge or stay motivated during challenging times? I love to play golf with family and friends. Golf is a lot like life and business. You can get good breaks and bad breaks but if you take both in stride and continue to work hard good things generally happen. What’s your favorite thing to do in your city outside of work? Outside of work you will find me in the stands at one of my son’s sporting events or on the golf course.
