The quality of the people & support they communicated during the hiring process, the bold and ambitious mission for California and the challenge of going after it and making it happen. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received? It was a quote from a keynote address – “No one knows what the future holds, not some guru on a TV channel, some business magnate or some billionaire. Step boldly into the unknown, be yourself and have faith it will somehow all work out.” How do you describe the culture at Sogeti to someone considering joining the team? Fast paced, truly entrepreneurial and team oriented. Sogeti moves 10x the speed and is oriented to make the most of mid-market opportunities. Come over and be a part of the rocket ship. How would you describe your approach to leadership? I try to be a servant leader and challenge my team to do things that I’m willing to do personally or have tried. Also, I’m a believer in having our plans meet contact with the market to constantly test our strategy and iterate. What’s your favorite thing to do in your city outside of work? Spend time with family experiencing new cuisine in the Bay Area & traveling when I can. I also enjoy music composition and discovering new artists and genres. What books, podcasts, or thought leaders have influenced you? One on One with Andy Grove – it’s over 50 years old but a bible for any aspect of work covering a variety of topics from managing oneself to managing others. Mojo – by Marshall Goldsmith and The Mckinsey Podcast.
